« Part 1: West Entrance and Roof Truss Detail Part 2 of Cathedral Model Drawings series no next part

The Ladies chapel is located in the rear of the Cathedral. I have designed it to slide out from its home position and rotate 180 degrees, This will allow the viewer to see interior detail.

North and south perishes are showned here.

Bottom view of cabinet frame.

Half of model removed.

This is the detail of the center spire that sits on the roof of Ladies Chapel.

Center section of spire.

Lower section of spire.

This is a sample of the above upper spire. I put this series of shots in to illustrate the sub structure of the model, and how it was planned for assemblies to fit together. Most of the model is incorporating this type of substructure.

Thanks for viewing.

It’s nifty bit of 3D modelling and if it’s executed with the level of craftsmanship in which you built the base, this thing is going to blow minds!
