At least a new prospect (design stage) for a box with 6 colors is finished. The truth is the difficulty in joining 4 corners that would match in way of doing a mitered box. Anyone who is interested is welcome to copy and make it a reality. What is important is the possibility of just making the design and the contrast of colors that will create an illusion. This weekend I will account available materials and start setting the smallest piece that I could start.

And if you want a sketch up of this, probably you can ask in the private message as there is no other way to do it here. The LJ will only allow JPG.

Thanks and hope I can realize this box in a tangible model.

Have a nice weekend.

Looking good Bert. Can’t wait to see finished box. If you want some small pieces of different woods, drop by and pick what you want for free.

Thanks George, I will be dropping by after Holy Week and just keep your small pieces. I would surely convert it for something worth. I got a kamagong but brown not black. Teakwood is somewhat green but the Philippine teakwood local name MOLAVE is green but due to the oil in it, when you make the varnish it become yellow. I know you are enjoying the wood varieties in the Philippines.
