It seems that everybody has a YouTube channel. Well I decided to get into the game myself. My mother bought me a GoPro camera for Christmas. I`m sure she is hoping I will shoot some video of her grand kids for her. Which of course I will, but trying to keep up with a 7 and 10 year old is a lot of work, so I decided to take it into the shop and try my hand at shooting some woodworking videos.

This 1st video is a fairly simple build so I could figure out how to work the camera into my workflow. It was also a much needed project for the shop. The rack took an afternoon to build, but learning how to use the video editing software and editing it took most of the next day.

Below is the link to my 1st video. Please subscribe to my channel as I hope to record many more projects of the furniture I build. My next project is going to be a Desk made from Cherry

Nice first video with the GoPro. I like the way you sped up the action.

Good start. Personally I’d prefer to see you edit out the repetitious stuff such as removing the dado blade, using the router plane on the second side, etc. Voice over in the future would also be nice to explain what you are doing and why.

Think that you did rather well for a first.
Other that the actual buld process i would love to hear more about the idea behind the project, choise of materials and perhaps historical, personal or other stories related as well.
Looking forward to see more from your shop!

Great job! If only I had a fast motion feature.
