Belg1960: I just signed up a few minutes ago and only did it because I saw your work shop cabinet using Sapele wood! I had never heard of Sapele so I am doing some research on it. I think your cabinet is lovely and I would like to use the same coloring in a desk and cabinet combination I am building to replace one that was damaged by water.
My budget probably won’t allow me to use Sapele but I do have some left over curly maple from my first home project. I would appreciate any comments that you might offer.
Thank you

Joe, Sapele is a dream to work with. It is a hardwood and does very well outdoors. I’m a weekend WW and 90 percent of wood I use is either recycled or left overs from construction jobs(A deck in this case) Any other questions please ask. Pat
