Got this large pecan cookie from a friend who has had them in his barn for 10+ years. It is 46 to 50” in diameter. It is too wide for the couple’s living room who will receive it so I’m working out how to cut it fix back together. There’s a 4-5” rotted area just off center & I plan on removing that when I cut a section out of the center. Unfortunately while attempting to reposition the cookie it broke in two along the cracks. Just another issue to address!. I may need to make somewhat of a river table-top just don’t know yet. Here’s some pics! Sorry, uploaded 1 pic twice.

Set up two 2×10 rails on my bench for flattening the broken pieces. Had to build a new router sled because my other sled was too short. Made a couple passes to see if it was going to work out & I think it is. Purchased a 1/2” shaft flattening bit with a 2” diameter. Takes off a nice wide path 1/8 to 3/16” deep.
