Location: Washington, Iowa

31yr old woodworker from Iowa. Was instructed by a retired family friend, and just started doing woodworking about 4 years ago. Have done several lengthy projects, and am continually doing smaller side projects as well. Still learning alot about wood, and how it behaves--but truly love doing it....Work out of a 20'X20' pull-together type hog shed that has been built as a woodshop. Small, but convenient.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

Welcome!! Can’t help but believe you will find the folks on this site an amazing open and helpful crowd. I’m new to woodworking after not doing anything since High School woodshop. Everyone has been fantastic with hints, new ideas and practical experience. You’ll find people will answer questions and stay with you as you work on projects.

It’s a great place and I hope your experience here will be as valuable as mine has been.
