In December of 1917, World War I was raging in europe.On December the 6th at 9:04 AM, two ships collided in Halifax harbour.The resulting explosion was the largest man made explosion in history until the US used nuclear weaponry in Japan.Thousand of people were killed, and about a fifth of the city was leveled.Here's a little history of what happened.
