Kitchen shelves #3: Trimmed

I got a chance to put the final trim on the shelves. The trim is a simple 3/4” x 2” pine board with 3/8” radius bullnose. It is painted to match the lower cabinets.

Here is the right side of the sink. The trim is tacked on with a brad nailer. I would rather glue them w/o nails, but if there is a problem, we want to be able to pull the trim off to access the mounting bolts. As it is, I couldn’t nail the trim on the right side so I had to glue those pieces on.

Here are the shelves on the left side of the sink.

Here is the view from across the room. It’s amazing how fast a flat surface can accumulate clutter.
