Previous owner extended the two car garage 20 ft. Moved here about three years ago and the shop is a work in progress. Many of the tools are from my dad.

Thanks, just finishing up the dust collection. I have a few more details to work out, like a 2” OD connection for the bandsaw…

You have done well. The dust collection is strong with this one.

I am curious about your flooring choice because my garage/shop floor is still bare, did you consider one of those 2×4 sleeper stud floors like I often see detailed in Fine Woodworking and such? Is your slab floor level or slanted for the usual garage parking drainage? Is that Epoxy on the floor, was it already there or did you apply?

Oh, and what is that thing in the blue frame? a tusk? a leg bone from the last visitor to ask too many questions?

Congratulations on what is already beyond an excellent start.

Floor was there when I bought the house, fairly level as it was an add-on to the garage. The slab is not very smooth as the previous owner worked on cars, or cheap. I wish it was smoother as the table saw sometimes rocks a bit and I have to move it to be solid.

The blue frame contains a half model of my boat, a Thistle, my dad made.
