Early retired in 2020. I always liked woodworking but mostly collected vintage tools and bought new one but haven't done much until this year when i converted my garage to a shop and exiled my car to the driveway....
Shop is not big to say the least (1.5 car garage in long Island, NY) and i keep struggling with arranging it - made some progress - long way to go. Woodworking is very different than my previous life (was a Chief Information officer) and fulfilling in different ways. I still love old Stanley tools but joined the Festool cult too (not too bad so far and hoping to keep it under control) - I do enjoy and appreciate well-made tools and whenever I compromised it becomes even more expensive later....
