Need some advice on how to secure a butcher block to bar. - 3 replies

I was planning on using z clips but at the last minute she decided she wanted a drawer and I am unable to use them. Was thinking about pocket screws behind the drawer slides but not sure if I need to worry about movement. I know it will expand length wise( edge grain is up) just want to make sure I get this right.
