Location: Antipolo City, Philippines

I inherited this passion from my grandfather, a boat builder and he built several. Then I started early in woodworking when I was a 5th grader and I recall some of my school projects include a folding stool, a turned wooden mallet, a tool box, a marking guage and a wooden jeep driver's seat. All of them got the highest grades in our Practical Arts subject. Woodworking has been my favorite hobby since then.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Welcome to LJ’s. Another one from Antipolo, is there a large woodworking community there? Or does everyone just revolve around Benji Reyes?

Thanks Nailbanger2. There’s no large woodworking community here in Antipolo, just a coincidence that most filipino LJs are living here in Antipolo. Philippines’s finest woodcrafters can be found in Paete Laguna, TayTay and Pampanga.

You have a very nice table saw.

Thank you for the compliment on my new saw. I guess I’m going to have to see some of the work put out by these other woodworkers, because I can’t picture work surpassing Benji’s in my head.
