« Part 8: "Turned " the lights back on! Part 9 of Spinning wheel series Part 10: Tapered pegs today »

My true passion is to be a blacksmith, so today I did a little bit of that to build my big wheel axle.

I mounted it to the wheel

I turned and set the treadle bar with extended hinges

I set the treadle with 3-5/16” dowels and positioned it correctly to the footman

Finally…..the big wheel is turning!!

Thanks for looking !!
