Retired 5 years ago at age 70. Married 53 years, with son and daughter and two grand daughters. I love to keep busy and enjoyed photography for several years and gardening is ongoing.

Since Christmas 2013 I became interested in woodworking and particularly like to make bandsaw boxes with my son. We started selling these in October 2014 and are pleased with the comments from people who have seen our work.
Looking to try and see what I can do in Intarsia in 2016.

Enjoy regular holidays abroad, both Europe and the USA, which we both love.

Since my last post, some time ago, I have been busy making bandsaw boxes with my son Mark. Now that we have made a few of thes, we decided to see if we could sell a few and have set up as Badger Woodcrafters, which is on Twitter and G+. We are working on a web site and hope to have that up soon, but will be selling in the UK for now, as this is only a ‘hobby business’.

Having bought a 16” Record BS400 bandsaw, I looked seriously at the Carter Stabilizer, but was surprised by the cost of shipping and duty to ship to the UK. Still thinking about it as Carter say they can adapt one of their stabilizers for our machine ( http://www.scosarg.com/record-bs400-bandsaw-16-floorstanding-230v.html?gclid=CMj8z7SxysECFbPJtAodR2AApw )

Would love to know how the bearing stand up top wear with the continued pressure on the bearing. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Will be in Miami in January to link up with a cruise holiday. Any Carter outlets there I wonder. or is it all direct with Carter?

Cheers for now

Alex
