« Part 2: Fun with Shapes and Styles Part 3 of Wooden Shackles series Part 4: Accents Not Going as Planned »

So I decided to move forward with the styles and designs I’ve made up so far, stained them and I’m letting them dry at the moment.

I chose to experiment and stain one set with PVC primer which is purple, I was surprised how well it worked!

As a choice to try and do something a little more complicated I drew out a rounded set and cut them on the bandsaw, a tool I was always nervous about. But after sanding and tinkering I’m happy with the result.

The plan is to finish them before the weekend is out, clear coat and staining all done and ready to be presented, but I’ll have to wait and see how all that goes, projects come up pretty fast to derail my plans…
