Recently decided the time was right for me to try my hand at something new. When we renovated our house that was built almost 50 years ago, we(wife and I) decided to build a larger garage as well so I could teach myself woodworking. I prefer learning by doing, so this should be one hell of an adventure. I have quite a ways to go before I can even think of calling myself a novice.(More like a kindergartener level at the moment)

Welcome to LJ. I’m mentoring a new friend who has decided to start woodworking as a hobby. He’s in his mid 50’s and retired a couple years ago. I think you’ll find the other Jocks here to be a great resource of knowledge and encouragement, like a 100,000 long distance mentors.

Have your say...
