Maine'rs: Portland, ME Woodcraft. Worth the drive for tools? - 0 replies

Mainers, Planning a trip from Vermont eastward soon with the wife. She’s as crazed about quilting as I am about woodworking these days. Thus, is the Portland, Maine Woodcraft store worth the extra hour’s drive just for the heck of it vs. just ordering online? Any other cool woodworking/exotic lumber places around the Kittery to Ke...

New Miter Saw, Shop Vac Hook Up? - 2 replies

First power tool with a vac adapter for this rookie. It’s a Craftsman Miter Saw with a 1.5 O.D. vac hose attachment point. My Shop Vac inventory is 2.5 and 1.25 and thus I’m wondering… buy a piece of hose and a 2.5 adapter somewhere? Would hate to buy a long section of vac hose, ya know? Thanks.
