Was a go-fer back in high school (many moons ago) in a cabinet making shop. Should have paid more attention to the craftsmen than the owner's daugter, I would have learned more about woodworking than puppy love. My father-in-law was an avid woodworker and when he passed, I received his Bosch ROS, which I still use on every project.

Now as a grandfather, watching my son build everything from an addition to his home to a coatrack for his grammy, I'm looking forward to finding some quality time in the humble shop. A clock here, a box there, maybe a chance to make something for the grandkids out of wood and maybe make some lifelong memories with them too.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

so sitting here in my bathrobe with a three day beard, bloodshot eyes glued to the LJ site, is not a bad thing. right? i’ve been scrolling through the projects folder, and i’m equally amazed with the woodworking and the woodworking tools.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a little over a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
