Farmboy from West Texas. Live on family farm. Recently remodeled grandparents farm house for my wife and I outside of my hometown. Two boys, 23 & 21. Older of the two working in a custom cabinet shop, the younger in the Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton. I am a teacher at my old highschool teaching biology, anatomy and engineering/robotics courses. Also built a new shop for all the best parts of life that include sawdust, polyurethane, diesel, gunpowder, and gardening.
Been working in carpentry, building for most of my life, best way to relax, spend time with my family.
Projects range from full remodels to simple toys. Current project, a mobile island out of farmhouse leftovers for my wife. Best cook on the planet!!!!

Recently I read a chat on lumberjocks about repairing/rebuilding older craftsman bandsaws and table saws. I have a 12” craftsman bandsaw mo. 113.24350. I have most of the parts except for the self locking screw part # 38524 that adjusts the saw blade on the wheels, which erepacement parts lists as discontinued unavailable. The other is the blade guard. No part number given in the manual. Does anyone know if either part is available from any other source. This saw runs well, all bearings seem to be in good shape. Just need a blade, blade guard and the adjustment screw to put it to work.
