I'm not at home sitting on the sidelines: I'm a "do-it-yourselfer" in just about everything I do. I spent over a decade as an atuo mechanic, always do my own work on lawnmowers, bicycles, motorcycles, etc.
Through my own studies and learning about nutrition and excercise I lost 80 lbs in 2007 and have maintained my weight throughout 2008 and 2009. I'm looking forward to tackling new challenges in my life going forward including straightening out personal finances based on the teachings of Dave Ramsey.
My woodworking to date has had me repairing my own furniture, creating pens and bowls on my lathe from local and exotic hardwoods, shaping my own moldings to work in my 100+ year old house and building my own 7ft tall aquarium stand for my 75 gallon planted discus aquarium.
I've built my own PCs and small computer network at home.
I do all my own home repairs and remodeling (almost need two of me for this sometimes).
My favorite phrase is one I created and try to live by:
"Enjoy what you do, or do something else"
Because if you aren't enjoying what your doing, your suffering through work and toil and hardship, but if you enjoy what you do, you'll always be on vacation and you'll never work a day in your life!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes everyone! I’m working on getting my information filled in as well as trying to get some pics of some new stuff uploaded. Right now I’m making/turning a lot of pens, but I’ve done a few other small wood projects and lots of remodeling around our house over the years. It’ll be great to get better aquainted with many of you.

Thanks for the kind words. I’m sure your wife would like a new cue rack a special place to put her favorite cue.
