Top Coat - 6 replies

I am building a quilt rack out of Red Oak. I am going to stain it with a neutral color Gel Stain. This piece will never be subjected to the elements. Would it be ok if I just paste waxed it and called it good or should I put a coat of Polyurethane on it to boot?

I recently put a coat of polyurethane on a small white oak piece I was working on. In the past it was dry enough to sand within 24 hours. Nail gun - 25 replies

I want to build a simple wine rack completely out of 1X2/s . I wish to use a nail gun to put it together and would just as soon not use glue if I not have to. I know nothing about nailing guns. What would be suitable for me to use in constructing the rack? Is there a size fits all nailer for the job? Thank

Am building a Rocking Horse for my Grandaughter, it has some simple wood adornments that make up the saddle and the bridle. Would liquid nails be suitable for attaching them? Or could you suggest an alternative. Thanks.
