Just saw your avatar, think that's what you call that picture on your home page…

Anyway, I was a Hydraulics jet mechanic trouble shooter, on the flight deck of the carrier Roosevelt CVA 42, working on A-7's, as seen in that picture…VA-174, out of Cecil field Florida…69 to 72…

    Just thought I'd say hey…

I have not been on this site much lately and just now saw your message. The picture in my avatar is one of my planes, VA-87 on the USS Rosevelt. I too was in VA-174 in 1969 for one year and then went to VA-87 for sea duty. I made two Med cruises,1971 and 1972. During those cruises I worked intermediate maintenance.

I was an AE, electrician. For a while I was assigned to the test cell at Cecil Field where they tested the engines after overhaul. I was the only electrician everybody else was a mechs. Were you in an A-7 squadron or part of ships company on the Rosie?
