Location: Morton, IL

I am a career, military firefighter. I have retired from the military but now work as a civiilan Asst. Chief at the Peoria Air National Guard base.

I have loved woodworking as long as I can remember. From watching my grandpa, or my dad, or a teacher I had that was a remarkable wood carver, I guess my interest has only gotten stronger over the years.

LumberJocks is a tremendous asset for me. It allows me to see what all of you are doing, which is inspirational and it is a remarkable learning tool for me. I learn so much from the many craftsmen and artists here on LJ....and to me, its all about the journey and learning more and more about working with wood. Getting feedback on my projects from all the skilled folks here is fantastic and I think, makes me better from project to project.

Thanks to the creator and maintainers of the site. There is so much creative energy here, and the site is so well run and innovative. As I said, it is a tremendous asset to me.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Thank you. I have been inspired by the work at for some time and am happy to be on board. I think it is one of the best websites I have ever come across.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a little over a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
