Pressure treated or just primed and painted - 4 replies

Something like pic to be installed under front porch. No ground contact except grass and weeds. Also something similar to be installed on front porch, under cover, at landing as gates to keep pets and kids on porch. Want to use door hinges not gate hinges, I work by myself so those strap hinges will be a pain to hang. But a 2×4 frame so ...

Lattice Below Porch - 2 replies

Self explanatory but they want a set of latticed double doors. Simple frame out of PT 2×4’s. But I’m thinking I’ll need to set two 4×4’s [notched to attach to band so they flush out w/front of band] in concrete to hang door/hinges from. Thoughts?

I have to two upper cabinet boxes, approx. 24” wide, with 2 doors ea, four total, butting up to each other. Frameless with four overlay doors. Drawer Fronts Close onto Front Edge of Work Surface? - 1 reply

Murphy bed in between two base cabinets, drawer/door boxes. Client wants all on same plane in front with doors proud. He hates face frames, filler, blank spaces in general. Depth of Murph is at 15 7/8, plan to fab boxes at same, install overlay doors which will then finish out at 16 5/8 so overlay doors can open free. If I do this, then drawer f...

Used to have an 8’ straight edge with clamp.Broke it and now all the ones I see aren’t very good. I use a straight 1×4, clamp ends but need to shoot brads for no deflection.
