I’ve been a truck driver for over 30 years, born and raised in Northern California. I’ve enjoyed working with wood since high school where I took wood shop. Unfortunately life prevented me from getting really serious about it until recently needing something to give me more of a productive way to spend my free time. I work out of my garage where I’m competing for space with the Christmas decorations, camping gear, lawn mower and weed whackers. Most all my equipment is on carts or wheels of some sort. I look forward to getting many tips and a lot of inspiration from all of you here in this community.

I have recently decided to try to improve my woodworking skills. I have made some simple items such as shelves, cabinets and other miscellaneous projects for myself and friends from lumber purchased from the big box stores. My goal is to work with various species of wood and make more challenging pieces.
