With money I got as gifts for Christmas I was planning on going to Lowes and grabbbing that little Bosch PS20 driver…but when I got there they had the PS40 impact driver. There wasn’t anyone working in the section so I held off on getting it and came home to find out what the difference was but can’t really find an answer. Is it just a stronger motor or do they do something differently then a regular screwdriver?

the ps20 seems to be the NON impact version. from the reviews the ps40 makes quite a racket, but from what Ive seen of frozen bolts that could be removed with an impact wrench with out snapping them, the ps40 was on my Christmas list this year. unfortunately I guess Santa was on a budget. I definitely plan to get one the current stock is 12v instead of 10.8

ps 40 is an impact driver….. basically a battery powered version of what is used in a tire shop to take lug nuts off….. only prolly not as powerfull…...
