Please, Please, Please Michigan people, come to our picnic. I will send you directions on Tuesday of next week. I am still working out a deal with the sawyer, but either place is just off a major Highway. If we don’t get the sawyers place we have a pavillion at Hawk Island and nice little county park just off 127. The date is set on Oct. 25th. We really need a head count for the food and beer so please sign up. Oh you caught that huh? Free beer? Comeon guys we’ll have a blast. At the very least I’ll see if we can’t visit the sawyers place so bring something to haul wood. He’s got some great stock for a buck a bf. He has some great stuff for 2 bucks a bf. Even if you are not from Michigan come ahead, we won’t mind. We’ll make it a Michigan, Illinois, Ohio party. Show up and be counted, and we WILL, (as my DAD used to say) have fun. Don’t forget to wear your LJ shirt.

Ok, we’ll change it to the 25th, no problem. A Sunday I think. People might howl about having to work the next day but they were not coming anyway. Sunday will be better anyway, I think Michigan State has a game that Sat. at home. Cool. Come on Gang. Comeon Gaylord, Howell, Rives Jct, Novi, Holland, You know who you are. I’ll get my new buddy from Dewitt to show up. Let’s do this come hell or high water Rick, If only you and I show. At least we can take some pictures of a lumbermill and the deals we got.

It would be nice if they would just respond, and tell us what they want. Maybe they don’t want it in Lansing, but how do we know unless they tell us. Or are they just to busy, or not interested, I would really like to know. I know of many from this State, they just are not talking. m
