You might try wiping the parts that push together to lock with denatured alcohol. Some of the moving parts are lubed and some lubricant or dust may have gotten into the locking mechanism.

I use aerosol teflon cutting lubes on some of my bits, and the overspray sometimes causes the problem with my plunge bases, not limited to the Bosch.
