My wife wanted a Wall Quilt Rack for a quilt her grandmother made a long time ago. Looked at quite a few projects (don’t we all), and liked the simplicity of the ones here:

This is made out of Oak, 42” inches long between the brackets. The removable part is 48” and just sits in the curve. Everything is put together by pocket holes. For the back connecting to the wall, I used this heavy duty picture hanger:

Everything was routed to make it look better, then 2 coats of Danish Oil followed by 2 of Wipe on Poly. Looks great in person! The wife is thrilled!

Looks great. Reminds me that I need to hang one for my wife. We moved several years ago and stored ours for awhile so now it is time to get it done.

Well add me to the list of have needed one for some time.. our daughter makes them and has given us a couple…time to hang them on the wall. I like the idea of using french cleats to hand it.

Like the simple design but look really well made. A great rack to display those pretty quilts. I bet your wife was happy. Great job!
