This is the first music stand I made. I had a difficult time coming up with a design so what I came up with is a combination of three stands I found on the internet and a unique base that I thought of myself. The desk area where the music sheets sit is 13 inches x 21 inches. the joints are half laps, made of maple. The column is Pine, and the base is deodar cedar. The column is 26 inches tall and is a glue up of 3/4 inch pine. it adjusts from 28 inches to 42 inches. I connected the base to the column using 3 inch construction lag screws and glue. The base is about 9 inches x 17 inches x 1.5 inch thick. It is very stable and seams to work well. I have not put a finish on it yet but I was thinking Tung oil. I hope this helps someone else in making one.
Note: A Dufflepud is a character in Narnia.
Sorry about the sideways pictures. I posted this using my iPad and could not get them to show correctly.

I forgot to mention. I finished this last night at 11:30pm. Just in time for Christmas.
