Leftover western cedar toungue and groove boards from a huge porch ceiling laying around and a 70° day in mid December. Figured cant waste a gorgeous day n rather than storing lumber in basement I’d kill some time. All mitred corners n 18 ga nails sanded out to 220 plus softed edges/corners. 2 hour build 1 hr for spray shellac and hardware. Wife has cedar chest for blankets n such for our place in Michigan

It’s beautiful and well finished, great use of leftovers. Well done!
