A wooden mallet made from cutting board scraps. This is a gift for a friend that played rugby with me for several years. I inserted our team coin on both sides. Front of the coin on one side, and the reverse on the back of the mallet. Better as a souvenir than for functionality. I like to call it the Thor Hammer. Walnut, Cherry, and Ash.

What a great usage for your cutting board cut-offs. I really like the coin insert. Great gift idea and wonderful execution!

Cool and unique mallet! Great use of scraps. I’m sure your friend likes it.
