Some family friends had to say goodbye to thier precious little Bella-Josephine. I offered to make them an urn for her ashes.
The box is 6 inches wide, 4 inches tall, and 5 inches deep. Made of 5/8 inch Honduras Mahogany, stenciled letterings, plexiglass 4×6 picture insert. Used sanding sealer and two coats of clear gloss poly. The joints are just glued together long grain to long grain, the bottom is screwed on, there is a 5/8 piece of wood slightly smaller than the opening that is attached to the bottom of the cover. Very low tech stuff. I made the picture insert by running the boards over my table saw with the blade set to 3/16 in. high.

Very nice, I’m about to take on a project from a friends family as well and was asked to build them a box, they had asked me what the cost would be my reply was not to worry about cost it was the least I could do.
