I had been collecting hardwood lagging from a couple of my construction sites. Most of the wood at 4”x6” beems of ash, some poplar, maple and even oak all with lots of with and pretty dirty. I resawed everything down on my table saw and jointer followed by alot of planing.

Pictured is my first cutting board and I carved some kitchen utensiles with the scraps.

The big spoon is actually basswood from a tree that blew down in a wind storm last spring.
