This is the second generation of pigs. The large one in the middle, made of maple, is the 1st generation. I modified the ears – now of leather, changed the method of building and installing legs and used cherry for this litter. The tail is from an old phone cord. The runt is more mottled as I used lower quality scraps to make the body. Great gifts for the grand children – also they sell well at charity auctions. Fun to make, too!

I like your idea, I take it the center section was in two pieces and then glued the outside pieces on before turning. I thought it would make a cool saltshaker by drilling nostrils. Its given me an idea. thanks

Love your pigs! I would be great to see pictures or a video of how you made them. I have grandchildren that I would like to make piggy banks for too. You did a great job! Thanks
