Recently retired the old gas grill and went with a Big Green Egg (life changing event) so the table was a must. Made from red cedar I had milled from right behind my house. Finished it off with a spar varnish for protection.

Beautiful table, fitting of a big green egg. Great project. I love the cedar. Much prettier than the stainless table my egg sits in. Looks like you’re off to some happy grillin!!!

The red cedar really looks nice. The piece of granite under the egg is not only functional but looks good too.

I have my egg in the little rollers that come with it. Not terribly stable. I definitely need to build something like this. Looks like another spring project just got added to the list.

Looks great, love the cedar and the fact that it’s local. You’ll love the BGE … food just tastes better than gas grills can produce.

Nice table—and the BGE—wait until you master cooking brisket… :-)

I’m in the midst of a similar build myself – bought a Primo instead of an Egg, but the same concept. I keep getting distracted, but maybe seeing this will bring me some focus.

Looks good!

Beautiful with simple lines. Practical, too. Great combination.
