One of my mottos is, “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing.”
I have done that again. My Heart Cross Sales trinkets just screamed for a FINISH. I tried my usual Water Poly. UGH it was way to thick and waaaayyyy took sticky.
So I used spray lacquer from Lowes. I have never really used it before but it was perfect for this gig.
I want the crosses to be removable but the poly didn’t want to let them go so the lacquer worked great.
The long part or the up right post part is about 2.5 inches long
I pan on gifting these to local influential folks in town with my card to get the word out.
I was given a huge amount of Dark beautifully walnut and use is as the dark wood, and I used Poplar I had lying around for the light wood. I plan on getting some exotics from wood crafters in Saint Louis soon so I can use others.
I know our local prosecutor here in town and plan on giving him one. BUT I think i need to make his HEART out of Dark Black African Ebony. Anyone got some they want to part with!!!!!
I think these will make great gifts for X-mas as well!
PEACE!
