Quite nicely constructed! It will have very good util if you do several tapers in the future.

Nice project. Don’t do many tapers myself but I have gotten by with the dreaded taper jig sold for all these years. This one seems much safer to operate with the clamping method you used. Thanks for posting!!

The taper jig I made is about the same as yours including the hold downs. Among other things, I use it to make these:
-- No PHD just a DD214 Website> craftingcouple.com

Purty nice! I keep pulling out my primitive MDF taper jig enough that I should upgrade to something better and this one with the t-track and nicer hold-downs looks like a great idea.

Nice! I just recently built a tapering jig myself. Similar in concept to yours, but not as refined. Good job!
