These carving were carves from white pine, yellow cedar, basswood eastern white cedar

Hi Mike Thanks for the compliment, it is hard to see in the pic of the sea captain what is in his hands, one hand holds the telescope the other holds his charts , he stands about 12 inches tall and carved from basswood. I work in pine, yellow cedar, white cedar ,basswood and air dried poplar,have just started to carve cypress knees,I wish they were a local product,lots of fun creating in them. Bruce

Thanks your for your compliments on my carvings,I posted all these pictures at once ,not intending to make it look like aingle project. They all have seperate lives,thanks for lor viewing them Bruce

Nice carvings Bruce, great characters, even the rooster has that look about him. I agree with Sasha each one should be posted separately with multiple views. Keep them coming and welcome to LJ’s.
