Had been wanting to try this technique and needed a few more template boards so I combined the projects. Don’t usually make boards from Oak, but A) they are primarily decorative, B) I sealed them real well, and C) I had a crapload of Oak I needed to use up.

Not sure what you mean by ‘template boards’ but these are nice! They look small. What size are they, Jim? I have this technique on my to do list, just need to get more confident with the router! What finish did you use? Thanks for sharing.

I call them template boards because the final shape is accomplished via an MDF template and pattern router bit. The clip board style is about 14 long and 9 wide. The heart shape are about 12×12
