I built this box to hold our Cards Against Humanity game. If you’ve never played its a really funny(but dirty) card game. We needed something to hold all the new expansion packs my wife keeps buying. I figured this would be a good project to practice my dovetails on. I was really happy with how they turned out. I also got a chance to use a block plane to plane end grain. Took a little while but finally got it sharp enough and got the technique down. I also did most of the finish work with planes and card scrapers instead of sandpaper. The wood is red oak that i re-sawed down to 3/8. Finished with poly. Thanks for looking.

Gman, this is a neat project. I like that you designed it from the inside to the outside. Helping us organize our lives is the highest calling for well-made boxes. Card scraping is a skill I have not developed. Glad it works for you and the finish is impressive. Keep boxing and keep posting.
