3’x3’ old box spring I made into a light fixture. Gonna put it over a poker table I think. Got 25 watt clear bulbs and puts out a nice soft light. Wiring was a little tricky, kinda tuff to hide it with the 1×1’s

Ooookay? I guess I’m just not into this kind of art, but it sure is a conversation piece …

I’ve got a couple of box springs taking up space in my house. In fact, they came with the house. Come on over, you can have ‘em!

Well … it certainly is different! :-)
And hey, there’s a whole TV show about a couple gals from Texas that do stuff like this and they make a pretty darn good living from it. Folks LOVE this “shabby chic” stuff!

Oh yeah…

I totally get it! It is a matter of taste and I like it.

Repurposing to the max. I wouldn’t worry about the wires showing, it’s part of the deal, just not tangled and messy. If it’s tight, who cares what’s showing?

Super job!!!

Now thats what I call thinking outside the box (no pun intended). This is so cool. It justs shows how anything can be made into a usable piece of furniture and not be thrown away.

Awesome dude. And welcome to lumberjocks.

Have your say...
