Project Information

Hey Lumberjocks,
I thought I'd share a Christmas present for one my friends. The box is all Cherry wood with mitered joints and a sliding top. I tried to add some flare to the handle of the box by offsetting the handle and blending the edges in to the top and corner miters. The overall dimensions are 6" wide and 13" long and about 3" deep. I sanded through the typical progressions ending with 400 grit then finished with Linseed Oil. I applied some wood wax to exterior of the box and the tool handles. The tool handles are Acacia which I turned on my lathe.
Thanks for checking out the Cherry Cheese Tool Holder.

Looks great! Are the corners glue joints or is there a further mechanical fastener like a spline?
